Mosaically Alternative: Cheaper Mosaic Files and Prints

Mosaically deserves its reputation. Its homepage puts it simply: "free to create, share, and collaborate with your family, friends, and community." A whole family can contribute photos to one piece, which makes it a natural fit for group memorials and reunion gifts.

The reason people search for an alternative is almost always price. On Mosaically's pricing page a downloadable file starts at $49, prints start at $129 (silver halide; canvas from $199, metal from $299) and a mosaic video starts at $299 (checked 2026-10-17). If the mosaic is going on a wall rather than staying in a browser, that adds up fast.

What getmoza does differently

Lower prices for the file and the print. A print-ready 300 DPI file is €9.95, €29.95 or €49.95 depending on resolution. Finished prints start at €39 (paper), €79 (canvas), €109 (aluminium), €199 (acrylic) and €315 (gallery frame), and every print includes the file. Prints are made by professional photo labs (WhiteWall in the EU) and shipped to 30+ countries, including the UK, the US, Canada and Australia; production and delivery take usually 5–12 working days, depending on product and country.

See the whole mosaic before paying. The free preview is the full mosaic, zoomable to a single tile, with no account. That matters because a mosaic's quality depends on your own photos, and no sample gallery can show you that.

Instagram import. Type a public handle instead of uploading tile photos one by one. We didn't find an Instagram import on Mosaically's homepage or pricing page.

Photos from several people. With Collect you share one link and relatives add their photos to the same mosaic, then you build it when everyone has added theirs.
